Raised Windows (After Images)

To allow in the natural light that the owners desired, we raised the windows on the back porch, which had previously been too low. As we tried to raise the windows, we discovered that no beam existed in the exterior wall, so we installed a new header in the existing porch wall. In the end, the entire porch wall and porch floor joist system was reframed.

New can lights, under-cabinet lighting, and hanging pendant lights were installed to provide additional lighting to the newly remodeled space.

Kitchen Cabinets (After Images)

The cabinet layout included the following:

Cabinets to the right and left of the sink and oven
Cabinets that extended to the new vegetable sink/bar space
A finished back side at the vegetable sink/bar space
An angled cabinet at the end of the peninsula
A bookcase within the angled cabinet
Upper cabinets with glass doors
Lower cabinets with Thermo-foil doors

By installing new beams and removing the bearing wall, we were able to open the area and create the spacious kitchen of which the owners had dreamt about.
